TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive and inclusive school in Basildon, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant on a permanent basis. The school provides a welcoming and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love for learning through tailored support and high-quality care.

The school is looking to take on a compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for children with Autism from September 2026. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to deliver personalised support, encourage engagement within lessons and help pupils achieve their individual learning and behavioural targets.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism / ASD
• Experience providing 1:1 classroom support
• A calm, patient and caring approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to support children both academically and emotionally
• A positive attitude and commitment to inclusion
