Building Physics Engineer

Our client, an established sustainability and building services consultancy have a fantastic position available for a Building Physics Engineer to join their Manchester based team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on numerous, large scale energy and sustainability projects for high profile clients within the leisure, commercial, housing and education sectors.

Qualifications:
For this role candidates will ideally have a BSc / BEng in a relevant Environmental / Engineering discipline and will member of an appropriate professional body such as CIBSE (or similar).

Duties:

• Conducting energy modelling and building simulation to support sustainable design
• Delivering projects for Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis, Approved Document O compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM54 operational energy assessments, and SAP assessments
• Performing early design modelling with a focus on passive design measures
• Liaising effectively with design teams, statutory authorities, and contractors to ensure project success
• Supporting marketing and business development activities to promote building physics expertise
