This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors.As a senior member, you will lead the civil engineering team across our energy portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet budget and schedule while providing expert technical guidance and solutions for our clients.About the Opportunity- Delivering Civil and Structural Designs for Cable, Substation and other TandD solutions spanning UK projects.- Lead people on projects to deliver positive outcomes for clients.- Produce design deliverables (assumption notes, technical specifications and calculation notes, etc).- Perform analysis tasks as necessary.- Oversight, verification and leadership for the preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical Reports, Inter-discipline design coordination and supervision.- Technical verifications of civil engineering documents.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.Here''s what you''ll needA degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering disciplineChartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered status.Experience within a civil discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects for Energy Transition industryExperience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings.
