Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: St Helens, Merseyside

Salary/Benefits: -26k - -35k + Training & Benefits

A busy Water Hygiene / Legionella outfit is recruiting for a Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team. They are seeking someone to cover contracts in the North West of England, including: commercial and public sector premises of varying size. Applicants must be confident in carrying out a wide range of ACOP L8 compliance tasks, including: showerhead descales, water sampling, calorifier inspections. There are fantastic opportunities for training, in addition to overtime earning. Salaries on offer are competitive and benefits include: fleet vehicle, fuel card, annual leave and pension scheme.

You will be travelling across: St Helens, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan, Leigh, Bolton, Chorley, Skelmersdale, Prescot, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Ormskirk, Crosby, Formby, Southport, Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Colne, Blackpool, Altrincham, Stockport, Manchester, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Knutsford, Northwich, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Must have worked as a Water Hygiene Engineer within a reputable outfit
• Good technical knowledge, including: ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
• It would support applications if you hold industry training / qualifications
• Able to work independently on site when needed
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficient using IT software

The Role:

• Showerhead and outlet descales
• TMV maintenance and servicing
• Outlet flushes
• Inspections, cleans and disinfections on storage tanks
• Calorifier inspections and blowdowns
• Water sampling
• Temperature monitoring
• Completing regular service reports
