Deputy General Manager – Specialist MedicineWe are seeking an ambitious and motivated Deputy General Manager (DGM) to join our leadership team, supporting the delivery of high-quality emergency and acute medical services. Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Operations (DDO), this is a key role with both strategic and operational responsibility.As DGM, you will deputise for the DDO, ensuring that operational performance and strategic objectives are achieved while maintaining safe, effective, and patient-centred care. You will play a vital role in assessing the impact of change, making informed decisions, balancing risks and priorities, and providing expert advice to the Divisional Management Team.Working closely with the Clinical Director and DDO, you will contribute to shaping and delivering the long-term strategic vision, ensuring services meet both internal expectations and external standards. You will also be responsible for implementing and managing systems and processes that support Trust-wide policies and drive service excellence.With direct line management responsibility for Service Unit Managers, you will lead performance management, workforce development, and service improvement initiatives, while representing the DDO when required. This is a dynamic role that offers significant scope to influence, develop, and deliver sustainable improvements across Specialist Medicine.
