Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker (EBD)
Location: Enfield, North London
Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 per annum
Service Type: 1-Bed Children’s Home (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties – EBD)

We are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a 1-bed EBD children’s home in Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a highly focused environment, supporting one young person to achieve positive outcomes in a safe, structured, and nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to a young person with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model.
- Support the implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
- Promote the young person’s independence, education, and social development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment in line with safeguarding procedures and Ofsted standards.
- Accurately record daily activities, incidents, and progress reports.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team, external professionals, and family members where appropriate.
- Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays.
- Previous experience working within a children’s residential home is essential.
- Experience supporting children with EBD and/or challenging behaviours.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) – preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Competitive salary of £27,000 – £28,000 per annum.
