Our client, a leading provider of engineered drilling solutions, is seeking a CNC Machinist / Operator to join their growing team in Mansfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating CNC lathes who is looking for long-term stability, career development, and the opportunity to develop their programming skills within a specialist engineering environment.

The Role

As a CNC Machinist / Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathe machinery to manufacture high-quality drill components and precision-engineered parts. You will work from technical drawings, maintain quality standards, and support the efficient running of the workshop. Programming experience is advantageous; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC lathe machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Setting up and running production jobs
• Threading and machining steel components
• Producing precision drill parts to specification
• Maintaining quality and safety standards
• Supporting continuous improvement within the workshop

Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC lathe machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Experience setting CNC machinery would be advantageous
• CNC programming experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
• Fanuc experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• FLT Licence/experience preferred - not essential
• Based within commuting distance of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
