Shift Pattern: Night Shift - 4 on / 4 offDue to internal progression we have a
QA Supervisor
( fixed term contract ) on the night shift available. As a QA Supervisor you will lead a quality assurance team to verify that all materials including finished products are safe and conform to all relevant specification, legislation and customer requirements.Working closely with the Nights Production Manager to ensure the production of safe, legal food.Complete audits and key performance indicators and monitor the consistency of outputs across the team for compliance purposesTrain the team to ensure that new process and procedures are adoptedBuilding production team capability to improve communication and understanding of technical standardsInvestigating customer complaints or any non-conformance raised internal or externally to provide data which informs resolutionOrganise organoleptic panel to ensure consistent qualityEnsure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the Health Safety and Environment policyManaging the nights QA team, ensuring tasks are completed in line with schedules and trackers.Monitoring of micro results and initiating any investigations as required.Working closely with the hygiene team to ensure swabbing and hygiene audits are completed in line with schedulesWhat we’re looking for
Flexibility required to support hygiene auditsIdeally educated to Higher National Diploma level and/or experience within a similar role in food manufacturingExperience of managing a team and leading peopleHolds a Level 2/3 food safety certificationBasic knowledge of weight legislation and allergen awareness/ practical management of allergensExperienced working with computer systemsUnderstanding of internal audit process and technical key performance indicatorsHas CCP training including Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) principles for Manufacturing UnitExperience and knowledge of good manufacturing practice (GMP)Demonstratable non-conformance reporting techniquesMicrobiological awareness – understanding of basic of food safetyBasic knowledge of hygiene principles and legal labeling practiceWhat you’ll get in return
