Flexible People Ltd are currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Shunter to join our team, working for a very well known client of ours, based in Croydon. Please note that this is a night shift, part time, weekend only position. The days and hours for this role - Friday Night - Sunday Night - As an HGV Shunter, you will be responsible for safely maneuvering heavy goods vehicles (7.5t HGVs) within our facility. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation processes. Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently moving HGV''s to the loading bays, for the warehouse workers to load the lorries. Await confirmation of fulfilment from the warehouse, in order to move the loaded lorries away and the empty lorries in. Good communication skills are essential due to the need to frequently communicate with the warehouse team. - Ensure that all loaded lorries are safe to be sent out - check all loads to ensure that the weight distribution is correct and secure and raise any health and safety concerns in the correct manner. - Conduct pre and post-shift inspections of the vehicles to ensure they are in legal, working condition. If any vehicles are defective, fill in the appropriate paperwork to take the vehicle off the road for repair. -Ensure that the vehicles and loads match up with the rota and crew lists scheduled for the following day. - Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors regarding any issues or concerns. - ..... full job details .....
