You will attend to their practical, physical, communication, and emotional needs, using a person-centred approach.You will act as a positive role model, support young people to develop life skills, reduce anxieties, communicate effectively, and achieve the highest level of independence and personal development possible.Duties and Responsibilities Provide care for children and young people by: Supporting with daily living skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, personal care) in a sensitive and dignity-preserving wayBuilding consistent, trusting, and nurturing relationships using communication methods appropriate to each child (e.g., visual aids, symbols, Makaton, PECS)Meeting each child s physical, sensory, emotional, behavioural, communication, cultural, and educational needsActing as a positive role model and promoting calm, safe, and socially appropriate behaviourSupporting children to develop emotional regulation using strategies consistent with their behaviour support plansFollowing each child s care plan, behaviour support plan, communication plan, and adjusting support as their needs ..... full job details .....
