Senior Care Assistant Needed in Northwood! 

My clients well-established residential service is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join their small, specialised unit supporting adults with mental health needs.

This 12 bedded facility, based in a quiet suburban location, offers a safe and supportive environment where individuals are encouraged to explore their mental health journey and build the skills and confidence needed for more independent living.

With a strong focus on empowerment and recovery, the service promotes a multicultural and person-centred approach that nurtures self-esteem, independence, and positive progression into the community.

Senior Care Assistant job details:

• £13ph
• 36 hours contracted per week
• Day shifts
• 12 hour shifts
• Rotational weekends

Requirements of the Senior Care Assistant Role:

• Excellent communication and written skills
• Previous experience as a senior care assistant, ideally in a care home setting
• NVQ3 or higher in Health & Social Care
• Medication Trained

Senior Care Assistant Responsibilities:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take a key role in supporting residents, mentoring staff, and ensuring high standards of care and documentation are maintained at all times. Responsibilities include:

• Support residents with personal care, promoting dignity and independence
• Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring compliance with CQC standards
• Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals, and families
• Administer medication and assist with care plans and risk assessments
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
• Maintain knowledge of CQC guidelines, safeguarding, and DoLS
