This opportunity is for a Relationship Director within the Commercial Banking Real Estate team, supporting businesses within the Real Estate sector. You will manage a defined portfolio of SME client relationships, deliver a great client experience, and identify opportunities to grow income, balance sheet and market share. You will build internal and external networks to bring the whole bank to the client. Most of your time will be spent caring for existing clients, prospects and introducers, with time allocated for preparation and follow-up.Responsibilities
Accountable for growing income, balance sheet and client numbers, while also managing associated risks.Manage a portfolio of client relationships with a focus on the Real Estate sector.Identify client needs and develop client strategies, leveraging product, coverage and support teams where relevant. Undertake lending assessments and implement appropriate client solutions.Respond to clients'' key moments of truth including lending that cannot be fulfilled by the Client Relationship Team.Ensure the balance between risk and reward is effectively managed so that lending and contingent liabilities meet the Bank''s asset quality and policy requirements.Be seen as the go-to banker in the local geographic area, maintaining a high profile with external influencers and the local business community to achieve the Bank''s aim of being the best bank for clients.Create and utilise an effective partnership with pooled support in the Client Relationship Team.Promote the Bank''s image and work with Business Development, Product Partners and others to develop new business opportunities.Ensure activities comply with internal and external policies (including credit), asset quality, standards, reporting, legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.What you''ll need
Highly proficient at building and maintaining positive relationships with external professionals.Specialist credit and real estate sector knowledge with a track record delivering excellent client experiences.Experience in building a portfolio of clients and originating new-to-bank opportunities in the real estate sector, winning new clients, growing a business and delivering results.About working for us
