Intervention Teaching Assistant | BL6, Bolton

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the BL6 area of Bolton.

This role would suit an education professional who enjoys working with individuals and small groups and helping pupils make progress. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide targeted support across literacy, numeracy and wider areas of learning.

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering planned interventions to individuals and small groups particularly within phonics
• Supporting pupils with reading, writing and mathematics
• Reinforcing classroom learning
• Providing 1:1 support where required
• Monitoring pupil engagement and progress
• Supporting pupils who require additional help
• Working alongside teachers and the wider support team
• Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
• Preparing and organising learning resources
• Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
• Have at least 6 months'' experience working with children in the UK, professionally or voluntarily
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
• Are confident supporting individuals and small groups
• Can build positive relationships with pupils
• Are reliable, proactive and adaptable
• Have a genuine passion for primary education
