Senior Finance AssistantOur well-established client, based on the outskirts of Chelmsford, are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their friendly Accounts team on a permanent basis. This is a fully office based position, with free parking on-site - due to the location of the office, you must drive with your own transport.Duties will include:Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns across multiple entitiesProvide support and guidance to other Finance Assistants within the team and acting as a senior point of contact for external finance queriesManaging inter-company invoicing, recharges and reconciliationsReconciling inter-company balances and resolving discrepanciesDaily and monthly bank reconciliations, including multi-currency accountsPosting accruals, prepayments and month-end journalsSupporting month-end close and management accounts preparationProcessing and reviewing sales and purchase invoicesManaging supplier payment runs and reconciling supplier statementsMaintaining accurate sales, purchase and nominal ledgersReviewing aged debtors and creditors and resolving outstanding balancesClearing historic balances, unreconciled items and processing authorised write-offsReconciling balance sheet control accounts and maintaining supporting schedulesAssisting with audit requirements and statutory complianceCandidate requirements:A minimum of 5 year''s experience within a similar role and finance functionAAT Qualified or Part-Qualified would be ..... full job details .....
