Job Description:


  • Plan and deliverandnbsp;differentiated,andnbsp;engaging, andandnbsp;multi-sensory lessonsandnbsp;tailored to the individual needs of pupils withandnbsp;EHCPs,andnbsp;ASD,andnbsp;ADHD,andnbsp;SEMH, and other learning differences
  • Create aandnbsp;safe,andnbsp;structured, andandnbsp;stimulatingandnbsp;classroom environment that promotesandnbsp;emotional regulation,andnbsp;positive behaviour, andandnbsp;independent learning
  • Work closely withandnbsp;Teaching Assistants, theandnbsp;SENCO, and external agencies to implementandnbsp;individual education plans (IEPs)andnbsp;and targeted interventions
  • Use a variety ofandnbsp;formativeandnbsp;andandnbsp;summative assessmentandnbsp;tools to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support holistic development and wellbeing
  • Contribute to the wider school community throughandnbsp;inclusive initiatives,andnbsp;pastoral care, andandnbsp;staff development

The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Have experience with teaching in a SEN environment or a strong interest inandnbsp;Primary SEN education (desirable but not essential)
  • Beandnbsp;empathetic,andnbsp;patient, andandnbsp;resilient, with a deep understanding ofandnbsp;child developmentandnbsp;andandnbsp;inclusive pedagogy
  • Demonstrate a commitment toandnbsp;safeguarding,andnbsp;positive behaviour support, andandnbsp;child wellbeing
  • Possess excellentandnbsp;communication,andnbsp;teamwork, andandnbsp;organisationalandnbsp;skills
  • Be enthusiastic aboutandnbsp;professional developmentandnbsp;and contributing to aandnbsp;collaborative school culture
