About The Opportunity

Have you ever considered a role working in the Energy and Power market? Wondering how you can develop and deploy your skills in a new and exciting sector?

Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for an Electrical Engineer who can progress in high voltage (HV) cable systems design to provide support to projects across Jacobs’ markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors. We will consider technical professionals with experience in high voltage energy infrastructure design experience, but we are especially keen to seek electrical professionals with an understanding of site based work, build projects and contractors.

Here''s what you''ll need

A degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline and Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered statusExperience within an electrical discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects with tier 1 and 2 contractorsRelevant, professional experience in HV and LV experience 33kV - 400kVExperience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings. CAD (AutoCAD or Microstation) preferred but not essential.
