Pupils you will be working with may display challenging behaviour, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, or difficulties with engagement, often linked to adverse childhood experiences or unmet additional needs.As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. This may include providing 1:1 support, assisting with small group interventions, helping pupils regulate their emotions, and implementing personalised behaviour strategies. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to ensure pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.Previous experience working with SEMH needs is essential.
