Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHCT) Community Podiatry Services is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and focused qualified Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered Specialist Podiatrist.Key Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate abnormalities and diseases related to the foot and lower limb across all ages.Provide treatment for high-risk groups such as the elderly and those at increased risk of amputation.Deliver specialist care to maintain mobility, independence, tissue viability, and relieve discomfort, especially for patients with diabetes, circulatory disorders, neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and biomechanical pathologies.Work within multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and contribute to wider MDTs.Deliver evidence-based podiatry in clinics, GP surgeries, hospitals, patient homes, and nursing homes within the Central locality area.Provide professional advice and develop care programmes based on clinical needs.Contribute to the development of the Podiatry Department and adhere to Trust policies and procedures.Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to foster a supportive team environment.Additional Information:This is a full-time position; candidates wishing to work 3 days or more will also be considered.The department offers a band 5 competency programme for role development.The Trust manages several hospitals and community facilities, providing a range of services aimed at enabling patients to live independently and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.Note:
