The position involves the installation, migration, and support of Legacy SQL 2008 / 2012 and SQL BI stacks across the business to SQL 2019 and SQL 2022.Key Responsibilities of the SQL DBA: Must be current SC Cleared or recently expired Security ClearanceLead the migration legacy SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2016 to newer SQL Server 2019, SQL Server 2022 and soon SQL Server 2025Experience in performing in-place migrationsAware of the feature differences between SQL 2012/2016 and SQL 2019/2022Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including SQL BI Stack, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio.Design and develop reliable SQL and database solutionsProven experience in migrations projects - ability to talk through challenges and pinpoint any potential issuesImprove performance by optimizing BI-related code and analysing SQL queriesSupport the entire data lifecycle in an agile environmentFamiliarity with tools like Terraform, Git, and PowerShell is advantageous.
