About the practice

We are a small team who work as a unit to achieve the best outcomes for the patients in our care. You will be based at our practice in Basingstoke joining three experienced vets, an experienced nursing team and a support team of receptionists. We are ISFM accredited and a Silver-rated Cat Friendly small animal practice. We have dedicated cat and dog kennels, two consult rooms, an ops theatre, and modern equipment including Digital X-Ray, Idexx ProCyteOne, Catalyst, a brand new Ultrasound machine and dental radiography.

Responsibilities

Provide medical and/or surgical care with a focus on case work up, with a bias in either medical or surgical pathways as appropriate.

Collaborate as part of a close-knit team to achieve positive outcomes for patients.

Manage a caseload that is primarily small animal (SA) with potential exposure to exotics depending on interest.

Support the team to deliver high-quality patient care and client service.

Participate in flexible rota patterns and work-life balance arrangements; full-time typically 40 hours with a Saturday morning rota and no OOH, with part-time options available.

Work in a practice with a structured environment that supports personal and professional development and CPD activities.

Qualifications and requirements

Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with eligibility to practice (UK).

Medical or surgical bias and willingness to engage in case work up.

CPD actively encouraged and supported; opportunities for development via the IVC Evidensia Academy and other resources.

Visa sponsorship available; relocation support offered.
