Highways Safety InspectorCarrington West are delighted to be supporting a local District Council in Essex to recruit a temporary Highways Safety Inspector on a 3-month basis. Please note that this post requires the successful individual to travel around the region for site visits.The role: This role will involve conducting highways safety inspections of unadopted roads and footpaths owned by the Council according to an inspection schedule. You will be required to complete those inspections in line with the schedule and liaise with contractors to arrange for any repair works in line with the risk assessment matrix of the highway strategy. For repair works, you will need to complete a job pack (pre-construction information, utility stat plans), request for purchase orders and process invoices upon completion.Main Responsibilities: To carry out inspections on built assets and infrastructure (to include unadopted highway and drainage networks) and maintain records on their condition Carry out Inspections and record the condition of Council owned built assets and infrastructure to ensure it is maintained in a condition to meet legislative standards Complete accurate records of inspections to identify defective areas as per schedule of inspection for unadopted highways, drainage and street lighting To prepare the necessary documentation for monitoring and recording infrastructure condition to assist with keeping the Council''s records up to date To carry out post-inspections ..... full job details .....
