Assistant Design Manager / Junior Design Manager Guildford Major £90m Project Up to £60,000 + Package An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant / Junior Design Manager to join a well-established main contractor on a major £90m project in Guildford. Working directly beneath an experienced Lead Design Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone who already has a grounding in design management and is ready to take on more responsibility on a large, fast-moving scheme. The project is progressing at pace, with a particularly quick structural programme, meaning the design team needs to be proactive, organised and comfortable working to short design periods and demanding deadlines. The Role You''ll work closely with the Lead Design Manager and wider project team, helping coordinate and drive the design process from pre-construction through delivery and handover. The contractor will typically inherit projects around RIBA Stage 3, develop the design through Stage 4, and manage the process through construction and Stage 5 handover. This isn''t a role where you''ll simply be managing drawings and trackers.
