Gotpeople is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our client’s team based in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established, reputable company offering consistent shifts.

Position OverviewAs an HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and punctual delivery of goods while providing exceptional customer service. The role involves multi-drop deliveries and manual handling, including unloading.
Key Responsibilities- Complete all required assessments and training
- Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers
- Unload cages into stores, involving physical activity
- Perform multi-drop deliveries across London and the South East
- Follow allocated routes and participate in a rota system
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects
- Ensure all deliveries comply with company policies and procedures
- Maintain a high standard of customer service when engaging with clients
- Adhere to all relevant driver hours and road safety regulations
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with a minimum of 18 months’ driving experience
- Possession of a full CPC and a digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (excluding DR, DD or IN endorsements)
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting bulky items
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, with the ability to work safely and meet delivery schedules
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots)
- £21.12 per hour PAYE
- Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours’
