Compliance Manager Location: Morden, South LondonRate: £450-£500 per day DOEContract: 3-6 MonthsWorking Pattern: 3 days per week in the office, 2 days remoteAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to join a London Local Authority on an interim basis. This role will take the lead on statutory property compliance across a diverse corporate estate, ensuring the council meets all regulatory and legislative obligations while driving continuous improvement in compliance management and governance.Reporting to the Head of Compliance, Maintenance and Facilities Management, you will manage a small team of Compliance Officers and oversee specialist contractors delivering compliance inspections, testing and remedial works across the property portfolio.Key Responsibilities Lead property compliance across the council''s estate, including: GasElectricalFire SafetyWater Hygiene / LegionellaAsbestosLiftsLightning ProtectionLOLER and PUWER requirements Manage statutory inspection programmes and ensure compliance obligations are met.Procure and oversee compliance surveys, testing programmes and remedial works.Monitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance works are delivered to specification, budget and timescales.Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures and governance frameworks.Conduct audits and inspections to monitor ongoing compliance performance.Produce reports and compliance assurances for senior management.Manage compliance data, ..... full job details .....
