Key Responsibilities:

  Work closely with class teachers to adapt lessons for pupils with hearing impairments

  
  



• 
  

  Support communication through the use ofandnbsp;radio aids, visual cues, and lip-reading techniques

  
  



• 
  

  Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focused on language, listening, and social skills

  
  



• 
  

  Assist with the implementation ofandnbsp;IEPs, risk assessments, and therapy care plans

  
  



• 
  

  Collaborate with the SENCO, families, and external professionals, includingandnbsp;Teachers of the Deaf

  
  

What We''re Looking For:

• 
  

  Previous experience working with pupils withandnbsp;Hearing Impairments (HI), or a strong interest in developing this skillset

  
  



• 
  

  Understanding of SEN and inclusive classroom practices

  
  



• 
  

  British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1-3andnbsp;orandnbsp;Makatonandnbsp;(desirable but not essential)

  
  



• 
  

  Experience supportingandnbsp;phonics, especially for pupils with cochlear implants (beneficial)

  
  



• 
  

  Strong communication skills, empathy, and a proactive approach

  
  



• 
  

  A valid enhancedandnbsp;DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
