Account Handler

£50,000 City of London / wfh Hybrid.

Our client is a registered UK broker, Lloyds Broker, and Lloyds Coverholder and insures a broad range of contingency risks. They are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join their Contingency Insurance Team, managing the complete policy lifecycle from enquiry through to placement and administration. The successful candidate will work with brokers, business producers, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure efficient transaction processing and excellent client service.

Responsibilities

Receive and evaluate incoming insurance enquiries, conducting risk research and analysis

Prepare quote slips incorporating risk details and coverage requirements, coordinating with placing brokers

Receive terms from placing brokers and distribute quotations to clients/retail brokers

Create MRC (Market Reform Contract) slips post-bind and load into PPL (Placing Platform Limited)

Liaise with underwriters to obtain stamps and approvals on documentation

Coordinate with processing team for accurate system loading and maintain transaction records

Handle policy endorsements and provide ongoing client and broker support

Support wider business operations and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

Essential : London Insurance Market experience with MRC slip preparation

Strong understanding of insurance principles and market practices

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure

Proficient in Microsoft Office and insurance software systems

Desirable : Previous experience in Contingency Insurance products

PPL (Placing Platform Limited) system knowledge

Professional Insurance Qualifications (CII/ACII)

Knowledge of Lloyd''s market practices

Position Details

Location:

Minimum 3 days a week in the City of London HQ, with the remaining time working from home.
