Group ESG and Controls Manager

Overview
Reporting into the Reporting and Compliance Lead, this prominent compliance role maintains and iteratively improves ESG reporting and controls across the group. Familiarity with manufacturing and FMCG companies with a developed controls framework on a medium to large scale is ideal. Knowledge around ESG controls and reporting would be a great advantage. The role involves external interaction with our shareholder (Coca-Cola) and internal collaboration across Europe to ensure we address all requirements. This role is key in enabling Innocent to be a responsible business and ensure we are reporting the right things in the right way.Responsibilities
Developing and owning the reporting and controls process of ESG information (Environmental, Social and Governance), including updating narratives and working with non-finance business partners.Performing sample testing over the ESG information provided by the business, improving data collection of this ESG information and submitting this information to relevant stakeholders.Performing testing over a sample of controls from different processes. Provide support to control owners and reviewers through training and best practice guidance to remediate any ineffective controls while ensuring the effective controls remain effective.Run and iteratively develop the Control Self-Assessment process, providing monthly updates to the board of directors on the status of controls governance across the business.Liaising with Coca-Cola controls teams to develop best practice training, templates and knowledge to share internally with control owners.Ad-hoc requests such as preparation for year-end submissions, Coca-Cola specific submissions and contract management.Qualifications
Solid compliance knowledge within a robust framework with a passion for improvement and a keen eye for what good looks like.Great communicator with a technical mindset who can communicate the message simply to a range of audiences including our shareholder.A keen eye for detail with a questioning mindset to identify and shore up processes.A structured approach to workload, able to tackle multiple streams of work and distribute the work sensibly around the team to drive proactive management.Happy to get hands-on with tools and systems to understand how to make processes simpler, compliance integrated, and reporting easier.An influential voice within finance and beyond finance, promoting and affecting change.What you’ll get
