About Us:
Supply Desk are looking for a passionate and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a strong educational team and help students develop positive behavioural strategies to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may be facing challenges with their behaviour, providing tailored support to help them engage in their learning and integrate positively within the school environment. Your role will involve working one-on-one and in small groups with students, using evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavioural change and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one mentoring and small group sessions for students with behavioural challenges.
- Develop and implement personalised behaviour plans, in collaboration with teachers and other staff.
- Support the development of social, emotional, and self-regulation skills in students.
- Encourage students to build positive relationships and improve their communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents to monitor and assess student progress.
- Help students develop coping strategies to manage their emotions and behaviours in a constructive manner.
- Promote a positive school culture that supports inclusion and well-being for all students.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly in a mentoring or support role.
- Knowledge and understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- Empathy and a passion for supporting young people in overcoming challenges.
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to mentoring and behaviour management.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or similar (Desirable but not essential).
- A DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) will be required.
