Here''s your chance to be at the heart of it all.We are currently seeking Overhead Line Design Engineers at all levels (Principal/Senior or experienced) to join our Transmission and Distribution team, with roles to be based in any of our UK offices.As an Overhead Design Line Engineer within our team, you will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of OHL projects – producing and reviewing technical documents in line with industry standards. It is a varied role that will see you involved in the development of design criteria, conductor selection, structure type selection, insulation coordination, and lightning performance.You will be involved in the development of typical OHL design deliverables – including line schedules, plan/profile drawings, staking tables, and special crossings design. More information on Stantec’s Energy and Resources division can be found at the below link:Stantec Energy Transition - UKAbout you:You will ideally have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Civil Engineering or industry experience if coming from a hands-on/construction pathway. CEng, IEng registration or working towards registration would be beneficial.You will have experience as either an Overhead Line Design Engineer or a similar role working on various Transmission and Distribution projects. Preferably, you would have worked for either a Design Consultant, Design/Build Contractor, or an Asset Owner in your experience to date. You will have experience in using PLS-CADD to carry out both new OHL designs and modifications to existing designs. You will have experience of working with projects requiring UK design requirements.For this role, it would be beneficial if you bring a strong understanding of complementary TandD disciplines to OHL Design – for example, an understanding/experience of HV Plant design or HV Cable design or TandD Civil design.
