Interim Health and Safety Lead (Projects)Hybrid Role£45 - £ 55 per hour via Umbrella We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Interim Health and Safety Lead (Projects) to oversee and support health and safety compliance across construction, maintenance, and facilities projects within a busy campus environment in Central London. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe working environment for staff, students, contractors and visitors during ongoing construction projects.Key Responsibilities (Summary)Provide expert health and safety advice across a diverse capital projects programme, including minor works and fit-outs, refurbishments (including heritage buildings), infrastructure works and medium to large-scale new build projects.Identify and interpret relevant construction health and safety legislation and ensure alignment with organisational values, legal obligations and industry best practice.Monitor compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations and support the client duties under the legislation.Promote a strong, visible health and safety culture through regular site engagement, behaviour-based safety leadership and effective communication with all project stakeholders.Embed "Safety in Design" principles early within the design and planning stages of projects.Advise on contractor health and safety risk assessments, pre-start reviews and risk workshops.Monitor and review construction site safety performance through audits, inspections and clear ..... full job details .....
