CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for an Uphalster on behalf of our ever-growing client based in Morley

Duties Include:

• - Build and assemble wooden manufactured seat frames using drawings
• - Measure, cut and install foam
• - Measure, cut, sew, stretch, and attach upholstery fabric.
• - Create smooth, properly aligned finishes with consistent seams, patterns, corners, and edges.
• - Operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, staplers, foam cutters, and sewing machines.
• - Inspect frames, cushioning, and finished upholstery for quality and correct defects when needed.
• - Follow production schedules while maintaining workmanship and efficiency.
• - Keep tools, materials, and the work area clean and organized.
• - Follow all workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• - Previous upholstery, furniture manufacturing or related experience preferred.
• - Ability to build and upholster cushioned seating from start to finish.
• - Experience working with wood, foam, webbing, and upholstery fabrics.
• - Ability to read measurements, templates, drawings, and basic production specifications.
• - Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• - Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• - Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• - Reliable attendance and ability to meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• - Ability to stand for extended periods.
• - Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, and pull while completing upholstery work.
• - Ability to safely lift and move frames, materials, and finished products weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 4.30pm

Pay: -15.50 - -16.50
