Supply Desk is excited to work with a respected Secondary School in Portsmouth to find a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant. Starting in September, this long-term role involves providing tailored support to students with a range of learning needs across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. If you are passionate about helping students reach their full potential and fostering an inclusive learning environment, we want to hear from you!
Role Overview:
In this role, you''ll work closely with students of varying abilities, assisting them in class activities and ensuring they remain engaged in their learning. You''ll also support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere in the school. The role is initially until July 2026, with a strong chance of becoming permanent.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting students in a secondary school, ideally in a learning support role.
Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping students overcome academic challenges.
Be confident in providing both one-on-one and small group support to students.
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with both students and staff.
Be proactive, flexible, and able to respond to the diverse needs of students.
Ideally, have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
