This is a Secondment Opportunity – Only Internal DCC Employees ApplicableManchesterCompetitive Salary plus benefitsWhat will you be doing?Build relationships with Service Provider Delivery and Security Teams (SPs)Assist in defining the scope of the technical engagement with SPsWork with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to collate data requirements to be passed to the SPsLiaise with SP Delivery and Security Teams to extract relevant security data for user cases seen/predicted/hunted in the SOCWork with DCC programme/project teams and Security Assurance to support the delivery of SP requirementsAssist in raising change requests where necessary, in order to make the data available to the SOCAssist in identifying where SP does not have a capabilityIndicate areas of initial, urgent and prioritised actionAssist in defining the process requirements (i.e. not the full processes) to support this modelWhat are we looking for?Review and act upon threat intelligence feeds applicable to DCC environment in accordance with established operating proceduresPossess threat hunting capabilitiesParticipate in hunt missions using threat intelligence, analysis of anomalous log data and anomalous sessions to detect and eradicate threat actorsPerform deep dive analysis by correlating data from various sources and applying advanced statistical analysis techniques to identify outliersIn the case of intrusion identification, coordinate with the incident response team to investigate and determine the cause and extent of the breachDevelop Threat Hunting dashboards and reports to identify potential threats, suspicious/anomalous activity, and malwareProduce comprehensive and accurate oral and written reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiencesEffectively communicate escalations and interface with executive stakeholders and legal counsel, both technically and strategicallyDocument and escalate unmanaged risks identified during threat hunts to Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) functionHave some experience of incident response and analysis, forensics and knowledge of security best practice, especially on design and implementation of controls.Possess excellent stakeholder management skills needed to create professional and cooperative relationships between the DCC and SPs.About the DCC:At the DCC, we believe in making Britain more connected, so we can all lead smarter, greener lives.
