Overview
As an autonomous EMHP you will play a key part in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of children and young people, their families, and carers. In a school-based team you will provide direct intervention for young people presenting with mild/moderate mental health difficulties within professional practice guidelines and a structured supervision framework. The post holder will be required to adapt to and undertake different or new duties in line with professional and service developments.Responsibilities
Practice within the MHST national framework, providing assessments and interventions for children, young people and parents/carers in education settings.Support schools and education providers to develop whole-settings approaches to emotional health and wellbeing.Provide advice, consultation, support and training to services to ensure appropriate interventions are identified to address young people’s mental health difficulties.As a senior member of the team, contribute to the development of team projects, supervise junior members of staff/trainees and act as a representative for the team at community and partnership meetings.About the employer
