Job Title: Electrician - Street Lighting

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Duration: Ongoing (temporary contract)

Pay Rate: -140 - -180 per day (dependent on qualifications and pay type; PAYE, Umbrella PAYE or CIS)

We are looking for an experienced Street Light Operative for an immediate start on a street lighting maintenance and installation contract in Sittingbourne.

• Street lighting column removal and erection.
• Other street lighting furniture (eg Bollards and signposts)
• Working collaboratively within traffic management
• May be expected to put out their own chapter 8
• Private connections and terminating
• Excavation and reinstatement - making pathway/verge good

• HERS Card / ECS Card (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme essential)

• Slinger / Signaller qualification preferrable

• NRSWA

• G39 Certificate (Working safely near electricity supply networks preferred).

• Safety Critical Medical certification

• First Aid training
• Manual handling training

• Full UK Driving Licence (C1 / HGV Category C is a plus).

• Full PPE (Steel toe boots, high-vis jacket/trousers, hard hat, and gloves).

• Right to work in the UK
