Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an established engineering business looking to strengthen their design capability with the appointment of a Mechanical Design Engineer. This role sits within a close-knit engineering team and will see you involved in detailed mechanical design work, design reviews and technical support across projects, delivered to agreed scope, cost and timescales. Experience within power generation or a similar heavy engineering environment would be a strong advantage, but solid transferable design experience is equally important. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 3D models and fully detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings Deliver design outputs in line with contract requirements, quality standards and schedules Manage your own workload across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Plan, monitor and report on design activities and deliverables Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives Work primarily in SolidWorks, producing parts, assemblies and BOMs Liaise with suppliers, fabricators and contractors to ensure design intent and manufacturing quality Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and site activities when required Contribute to standardisation and ongoing improvement of design processes and templates Maintain accurate design records and support document control and version management Ensure compliance ..... full job details .....
