We are located in the centre of Shoreditch, famed for its buzzing nightlife and eccentric charm.Our facilities consist of 128 guest rooms and suites, a unique restaurant concept, 3 bars including a roof top bar, 11 event spaces, a 196-seat screening room, 2 lane bowling alley, luxurious spa, swimming pool and fitness centre.POSITION TITLE: Sales ExecutiveRESPONSIBILITIESBe proactive in researching and contracting new corporate accountsManage a portfolio of contracted corporate accounts.Actively work as a member of the team, contributing to maximising revenue and generating the businessHandle all customer enquiries with a professional telephone manner and demonstrate high standards of customer serviceBuild strong working relationships with our clients and develop an understanding of their specific needs and requirements.Actively convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, demonstrating confidence through call control and upsellingEffective diary management maximising yield and revenue per available meeting room whilst closely evaluating conversion statistics and lead in timesDevelop and expand current existing accounts, focusing on achieving repeated business and upselling opportunitiesCreate accurate written confirmation and quotation for clients in line with departmental standardsTo follow through inquiries in terms of rooming list, deposits, billing and handover effectively to Reservations.Ensure accurate and up to date customer records in Opera and the CandB databases and that all best practices are followed and maintainedDevelop and maintain excellent product knowledge and use in delivering the benefits of the product to the clientKeep up to date with competitor renovations and monthly promotions using your own initiative to find out more information and communicate them to the rest of the teamEnsure a close liaison is maintained with the Events and Operations Teams to ensure clear and effective communication at all times regarding customer accounts and bookingsTo work and co-operate with others, taking part in departmental meetings, team briefings and project work and support other team members and provide assistance when necessary to ensure the team collectively achieve their goalsAttend client dinners and appointments as requiredTo check customer satisfaction post event by contacting the event organiser and resolving any outstanding issues and securing future sales leads.SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in business EnglishGood knowledge of Opera Sales and CateringCourteous and efficient telephone mannerAbility to appreciate the big picture, whilst having a talent for detail and an inherent thoroughness in task approach, follow-up and completionPrevious experience in hotel, travel and tourism, service sector preferredAbility to inspire confidence and gain credibility with senior managementAbility to maintain complete confidentiality at all timesHigh degree of personal loyalty and integrityTeam player
