Health and Safety Officer (Facilities and Environmental)Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Pool Civic Centre Contract: 6 months Salary: 21.27 per hour (Umbrella rate)NEBOSH certification requiredAbout the RoleWe''re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health and Safety Officer to help ensure a safe working environment across BCP Council.In this role, you''ll support the Council in meeting its health and safety responsibilities by providing practical advice, carrying out inspections and risk assessments, investigating incidents, and helping services develop safe working practices. You''ll work with colleagues across a wide range of Council services to promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.What You''ll Be DoingProvide practical health and safety advice and guidance to Council services and maintained schools.Respond to health and safety enquiries and investigate concerns and complaints.Carry out workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.Deliver health and safety training and awareness sessions.Support managers in implementing safe systems of work and improving compliance.Help review and update health and safety policies and procedures to reflect current legislation and best practice.Maintain accurate records and reports to support compliance and continuous improvement.What We''re Looking ..... full job details .....
