Salary: £34,000 to £40,000 basic + benefits

The Opportunity - Electronic Test Engineer
A growing technology manufacturer is looking for an Electronic Test Engineer to join its engineering team and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of sophisticated electronic products.
This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone who enjoys working across electronics testing, fault finding, test equipment and product development. You will be involved in developing and improving test methods, diagnosing issues and supporting products through manufacturing and into the field.
The company operates in a technically demanding environment, developing products used within critical industrial and infrastructure applications.
What You''ll Be Doing - Electronic Test Engineer
- Develop, implement and maintain electronic test procedures and systems.
- Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, PCBs and complete systems, down to component level.
- Diagnose hardware faults using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and other test equipment.
- Develop test fixtures, equipment and tooling where required.
- Analyse test results and identify trends, failures and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with design, manufacturing and quality engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Support new product introduction and ensure products are capable of being tested effectively in production.
- Investigate product failures and contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
You''ll ideally have:
- Practical experience in electronic testing, test engineering, electronics manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
- Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience reading schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience developing or improving test processes and procedures.
