We are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Canterbury to recruit an exceptional Head of Media for a maternity cover position starting January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate Media specialist to lead a thriving department and continue its outstanding success. The school is known for its commitment to academic excellence and fostering creativity, and the Media department plays a pivotal role in engaging students through dynamic and innovative teaching.

The Role


As Head of Media, you will:


  • Lead and manage the Media department, maintaining high standards and inspiring both staff and students.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that spark excitement in learning and encourage creative exploration.
  • Support students across Key Stage 4 and 5, following the OCR Cambridge Technicals Level 3 curriculum.
  • Provide expert guidance in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop, ensuring students develop strong technical skills.

The Ideal Candidate


We are seeking a candidate who:


  • Has a proven track record of successful Media teaching at secondary level.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational, ICT, and interpersonal skills.
  • Is passionate about fostering a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Has experience supporting students with industry-standard software and coursework requirements.
