Senior Multimodal Freight Operator

A leading global freight forwarder is looking to recruit an experienced-Multimodal Freight Operator-to join its expanding operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished freight forwarding professional with hands-on experience across-air, sea, and road freight. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will take ownership of multimodal shipments from start to finish, ensuring the efficient movement of cargo while delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will be confident managing import and export shipments across all transport modes, liaising with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, and customs authorities to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end-to-end air, sea, and road freight shipments.
• Manage both import and export consignments.
• Arrange bookings with carriers and transport providers.
• Liaise with customers, overseas offices, and third-party suppliers.
• Prepare and check all shipping and customs documentation.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven freight forwarding operations experience across-air, sea, and road freight.
• Strong knowledge of both import and export procedures.
• Experience preparing shipping and customs documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience using freight forwarding or transport management systems.
