Managing design consultants to achieve detailed designs that comply with programme and client contracts, owning the end-to-end design process, and proactively monitoring design growth for efficiencies.Developing designs with constructability in mind, engaging with operations and delivery teams for feedback to ensure fitness for purpose and cost control, and focusing on final plant operation.Preparing and chairing progress meetings with clients and consultants, collaborating to gain timely design approval, and reviewing specifications and managing subcontractors for design progress.Providing technical supervision, support, and guidance, checking drawings and specifications for accuracy, and ensuring designs align with plant functionality, safety, and guarantee compliance.Leading and monitoring cost control activities, managing contractual risks, negotiating agreements with subcontractors and clients, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for practical, cost-effective solutions.To be successful in this MEICA Design Manager position, you will need a robust background in engineering design and on-site construction coordination within the water industry.
