An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing structural engineering consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of building structures projects across London and the Southeast.

This Senior Structural Engineer role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining structural design with structural surveys and assessments of existing buildings. You''ll work across a wide variety of projects, balancing hands-on engineering design with technical investigations and client-facing responsibilities.

The successful Senior Structural Engineer will play a key role in delivering projects from initial inspections through to detailed structural design, working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.

The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you''ll be involved in:

• Delivering structural designs across a diverse range of building structures projects
• Undertaking structural surveys and inspections of existing buildings
• Assessing structural condition and preparing technical reports
• Producing structural calculations, specifications and engineering documentation
• Managing projects from feasibility through to construction
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Attending site visits, project meetings and technical reviews
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards

This Senior Structural Engineer position offers an excellent mix of structural design, existing building surveys and project leadership.

What They''re Looking For

• Experience working as a Senior Structural Engineer within a UK consultancy
• Minimum five years'' structural engineering experience
• Strong background in building structures design
• Experience carrying out structural surveys and assessments of existing buildings
• Ability to prepare structural calculations and technical reports
• Experience managing projects and client relationships
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

The following would be highly advantageous:

• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
• Experience within an SME consultancy
• Knowledge of a wide range of building structures
• Experience across refurbishment and existing building projects
