New Business Support Officer Job in Birmingham Your new company Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we''re looking for a proactive Business Support Officer to join the Environmental Health team on a temporary basis. Your new role In this role, you will play a key part in supporting preparations for an upcoming audit. Your responsibilities will include cleansing and updating business data records to ensure accuracy and reliability. You will also be contacting local businesses to confirm whether they are still trading, helping to maintain up-to-date and relevant information.A critical part of the role involves identifying and merging duplicate entries in the database, ensuring data integrity across systems. You''ll also be expected to use Microsoft Excel to generate reports, interpret data trends, and support the team with data-driven insights.What you''ll need to succeed We''re looking for someone with strong Excel skills, including experience in data analysis and reporting. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate confidently, particularly over the phone.
