Working within a high-security environment, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimising Linux-based systems that underpin mission-critical services for government and defence-sector customers.This position is ideal for a highly skilled engineer who thrives in a secure, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering reliable, stable, and secure infrastructure solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, configure, and maintain Linux Servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar) in a secure, multi-system environment.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.Perform patching, updates, and security hardening in accordance with strict governance and compliance requirements.Support secure networks, storage solutions, and virtualised environments (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V).Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls following least-privilege principles.Produce and maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.Work closely with security teams to ensure systems remain compliant with internal and external standards.Support incident response, ..... full job details .....
