  • Assisting with NEC contract administration, including compensation events, variations and change management
  • Monitoring project costs, cashflow and commercial performance
  • Supporting the preparation of cost value reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts and monthly reports
  • Managing and monitoring subcontractor accounts, payments and variations
  • Supporting procurement activities and subcontract administration
  • Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation
  • Working closely with project, procurement and finance teams to support successful project delivery

About You

To be considered, you'll ideally have:

  • A Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Around 1-3 years' experience within an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Graduate Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial role
  • Experience supporting valuations, cost reporting and subcontract account management
  • Some knowledge of NEC contracts and a desire to further develop your commercial and contractual expertise
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • A proactive and professional approach to your work
  • Full UK driving licence

Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, energy or construction projects would be highly advantageous.

Exposure to NEC3, NEC4, FIDIC or CESMM4 would also be beneficial, although training and support can be provided.

What's on Offer?

  • £35,000 - £45,000 basic salary
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Opportunity to work on major energy and infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to NEC and FIDIC contracts
  • Ongoing mentoring from experienced commercial professionals
  • Genuine long-term career development opportunities
  • Support towards professional development and chartership
  • Collaborative and supportive working environment
  • Opportunity to become part of a highly regarded civil engineering contractor
