We’re working with a privately owned and highly respected building services company that’s continuing to grow across the Midlands. Known for delivering first-class service and retaining strong client relationships, they are now seeking a skilled Mobile Electrical Engineer to support a portfolio of high-end residential developments across Birmingham, specifically focused on landlord areas only.
This is a mobile role offering a great mix of autonomy, technical variety, and long-term stability within a supportive and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PPM''s and reactive maintenance on electrical and associated mechanical plant
- Carry out electrical fault finding, repairs, and installations in line with safety and compliance standards
- Conduct routine tasks including emergency lighting checks, distribution board maintenance, and general upkeep of landlord electrical systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently, minimising downtime and ensuring systems remain operational
- Ensure full compliance with current electrical regulations and site-specific Health & Safety requirements
- Manage availability of spare parts, providing parts lists and timescales for remedial works when needed
- Accurately log all work via computer-based maintenance systems, ensuring all tasks are recorded and closed out
- Complete and assess RAMS, job sheets, and service reports.
- Maintain all plant rooms under your responsibility in a clean, tidy, and secure condition
- Support wider building services tasks when required, including:
- Power & distribution systems
- Pumps & motors
- HVAC plant
- Basic water treatment checks
- Work collaboratively with residents, building managers, and colleagues to ensure high service standards across all sites
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience in building services or facilities maintenance
- Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working in residential or mixed-use environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with landlord systems and communal plant operations
- Full UK driving licence
- £43,000 - £45,000 basic salary
- Company van & fuel card provided
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
