Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multi-disciplinary planning consultancy with their search for talented Planners, Senior Planners, Associate Directors, and Directors to join their growing North West team. With new office space launching in Leeds on 1st August, and an expanding presence in Manchester, this is an exciting time to join a forward-thinking firm with national reach and local expertise.

This top-20 UK planning consultancy has grown significantly in the past five years, now boasting a team of 50+ town planners across six regional hubs. They provide strategic planning services-primarily residential planning applications and land promotions-supported by in-house expertise in development economics, design, and heritage.

The Role
Depending on your experience level, your role may involve leading projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Advising on the development potential of land and buildings
- Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
- Drafting policy representations for Local Plan consultations
- Working with developers, landowners, and consultants on a range of residential-led projects
- Supporting planning appeals and Local Plan Examinations
- Contributing to land identification and strategic planning initiatives
About You
We are keen to speak to ambitious, commercially aware planning professionals who meet the following criteria:
- A degree in Town Planning or related subject
- MRTPI or working towards chartership
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Excellent writing, communication, and client-facing skills
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and a strong team player

Agile Working & Location
