An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Systems Engineer within Thales OME, based in Reading or Glasgow. The role may require travel to other Thales sites, customer sites, or test facilities.As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work autonomously on systems engineering design activities, including:Defining Systems RequirementsCreating design documentation for systems engineeringDefining internal and external system interfacesFunctional system behavior definitionDeveloping test procedures for system verificationConducting integration and verification testingGathering evidence that system requirements are metPeer reviewing technical artifactsSharing knowledge within the engineering teamThe successful candidate should be a proactive communicator, able to challenge ideas constructively, with experience in:Working within multidisciplinary design teamsDefining system interfaces and boundariesRequirements EngineeringAnalyzing operational conceptsBeneficial additional experience includes:Decomposing system designs to sub-systemsKnowledge of systems modeling techniquesAnalyzing solutions against design needsUsing design analysis techniques such as trade-off analysis, modeling, and simulationThis role reports to the Discipline Manager for Systems Engineering.#LI-MC2Candidates must provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, and employment or education history for up to three years.
