Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced pharmacist to play a pivotal role in our service for patients admitted to the Emergency Department (ED) at Whittington Health NHS trust. The post holder will provide a high quality clinical pharmacy service to the Emergency and Integrated Care division and contribute to the growing Urgent and Emergency Care agenda. The post holder will work closely with the pharmacy team and the multidisciplinary emergency department team to develop high value clinical pharmacy services for patients admitted to the ED, contribute to the ED and Acute Medicine MDT through training sessions, input into clinical guidelines and service improvement work, provide pharmacy leadership to the Pharmacy Emergency and Integrated Medicine team, and support junior staff during rotations. EssentialMPharm (or equivalent)Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)Further postgraduate qualification (Diploma/MSc in Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy, or equivalent)DesirableMembership of the Royal Pharmaceutical SocietyIndependent PrescriberMember of relevant professional clinical groups (e.g. UKCPA)Leadership or Management qualification
